Newly-elected President Laura Chinchilla was sworn in as Costa Rica's first female president on Saturday, pledging cooperation with all parties and citizens. "Leadership consists in crafting agreements," she said in her acceptance speech. "Costa Rica is our shared home, and no one should seek a monopoly on the truth." Chinchilla, candidate of the ruling National Liberation Party (PLN), won Costa Rica's presidential election on Feb. 7 with 46.8 percent of the vote. Her four-year term runs from 2010 to 2014. At 11:39 a.m. local time (1739 GMT), Chinchilla put on the presidential sash and kissed it. Prior to this, two new vice presidents had world of warcraft power leveling, been sworn in as well.
