Free Childcare for Working Parents: Safe and Dependable
03-09-09
Although there is still the chilly mornings and frost in the air, it will soon be over before we know it and summer time comes in. The final ring of the school bell is what most kids await. But parents are apathetic about it. The thought of what to do with the kids while you are at work, what activities to keep them busy with, and who to take care of them is what makes it lethargic. Summer camps may be one solution, but it is just way out of the budget. The kids may also be too young to stay alone at home and having a home care provider is just one of the things you cannot afford. Who’s Hosting and Caring? With cost of living continually increasing, caring and rearing for the children is one of the problems that beset many parents, young and old, today. It has forced both parents to go out and build a career of their own to keep the family well provided. Other parenting issues may still crop up, such as who would tend and care for the children when the parents are out? Would the finances allow them to hire a home care provider? Many parents though are thankful to Host & Care, one of the things that technology has brought. It is a global community of people helping people. It is a network that links a student homestay who is searching for free accommodations from families who are looking for someone to take care of the children. With host families sparing their homes or even just a bedroom for the student, they save money on after school care, tutoring, or highly expensive summer camps. Having a host student meant somebody to baby-sit and tutor the kids, walk the dog, do other housework, and have somebody dependable at home in case of emergencies. Verifying Your Care Provider You may think that having a total stranger posing as the nanny to your kids is kind of risky and dangerous. Yes, strange things and events would immediately come into your mind especially when you do not have any idea as to the real personality of the live in home care you have allowed as personal home care provider while you are busy at work. But you can ask for a reference and background check first from companies who run background referencing. At least you are assured of the safety and security when you agree to become a hosting family. Running background checks though are not for free. If you want, you can do reference checking on your own, through public records search. There are a lot of sites you can find in the Internet where you can verify the credentials of your future live in home care. Doing background checks would authenticate the host student’s name, address, previous addresses, social security number, and aliases. You may also run national criminal records search to reveal the following information:  State and County Criminal Record Repositories;  Prison, Parole and Releases from the state’s Administrative Office of Courts, Department of Corrections, and other state agencies;  State Sex Offender Registries; and  Proprietary Criminal Record Information.
