Description:I am a retired professor of English and an active artist and writer. My wife is a professional photographer and artist, as well as a writer. We have a son in college.
Description - about your home:We have a city bungalow in a quiet urban neighborhood, within walking distance of excellent restaurants, a large walking park, the public library and shopping. We are also near two very nice biking/hiking trails. We are 10 minutes from the largest urban public park in the US, including the free world-famous zoo, art museum, science center, golf course, botanical garden, and outdoor summer theater. The house has a great kitchen, master bedroom, large second floor bath with separate large shower and jacuzzi tub. Gas fireplace on first floor.
Description - about your desired destination:We like sunny and warm, near the water if possible, and near people. We are not into the touristy life; rather, we like staying among the natives and experiencing the culture firsthand. We like to eat good food and drink good wine.
Other information:I am a gardener, a gourmet cook. My wife and I are both very handy with construction work. Moreover, we have built our own cob house, so we are acquainted with sustainable living and alternative "green" architecture.
